About Us

-Our department consists almost entirely of volunteers, with 30 active volunteers and 8 full time staff members.

-The agency covers an area of 84 square miles with over 10,000 residents.

-In 2022 our volunteers responded to 1031 emergencies. That was nearly a 13% increase over the call volume in 2021.

-Our community approved a levy in 2017 which allowed the hiring of 3 full time shift captains. The department began its' first ever 24 hour staffing in July of that year. The levy was renewed in 2022 and that allowed the hiring of 3 additional firefighters. We look to place living quarters at the View station soon and work towards staffing a second crew. As the community continues to grow, so does the needs. Through the combined effort of volunteers and full time staff, crews work hard to respond to those emergencies and provide excellent service.

Volunteers

Our agency could not survive without it's dedicated and professional volunteers. The volunteers consist of your neighbors, friends and family. People who are highly motivated, caring and desire to give back to the community. We currently have over 30 active volunteers. Volunteers attend training drills that are held on Wednesday nights and some Saturdays. They are provided equipment and training to operate apparatus, conduct fire suppression, respond to medical emergencies and much more. Our agency provides opportunities for members to obtain EMT, IV technician and fire certifications.
