About Us

-Our department consists almost entirely of volunteers, with 30 active volunteers and 14 full time staff members.

-The agency covers an area of 84 square miles with over 15,000 residents.

-In 2023 our volunteers responded to 1011 emergencies.

-Our community approved a levy in 2017 which allowed the hiring of 3 full time shift captains. The department began its' first ever 24 hour staffing in July of that year. The levy was renewed in 2022 and that allowed the hiring of 9 additional firefighters. We are in the process of placing living quarters at the View station and will start staffing that location very soon. As the community continues to grow, so does the needs. Through the combined effort of volunteers and full time staff, crews work hard to respond to those emergencies and provide excellent service.

Volunteers

Our agency could not survive without it's dedicated and professional volunteers. The volunteers consist of your neighbors, friends and family. People who are highly motivated, caring and desire to give back to the community. We currently have over 30 active volunteers. Volunteers attend training drills that are held on Wednesday nights and some Saturdays. They are provided equipment and training to operate apparatus, conduct fire suppression, respond to medical emergencies and much more. Our agency provides opportunities for members to obtain EMT, IV technician and fire certifications.
